So yesterday evening we went to my in laws house because my sister in law was visiting from Hill Air Force Base where her husband is stationed. So of course there was food. I am pretty proud to say that I only ate part of the hamburger (set the last two bites on my plate and didn't finish them) I only had a reasonable serving of the blackberry cobbler. Normally when "dieting" I would deprive myself of treats and goodies and then go crazy and eat them until I was sick.
So I consider last night a small victory.
I was up 1 pound this morning and when I say I "gained" a pound I have to remind myself that to gain 1 pound I would have had to consume 3500 calories more than when I burned during the day. So yes I am "up" 1 pound from yesterday but I imagine that is just from fluid retention and probably a little food still in my system.
Now today was my company picnic with all the employees and volunteers and our families. I was tasked with bringing a dessert and I must admit I licked the spoon and scrapped the bowl after I was done. At the picnic I only ate half of my hamburger a large serving of watermelon and zero desserts!!!! That's a HUGE accomplishment for me. I have a huge sweet tooth and usually I would find these sort of times as an excuse to "indulge" but really I would just gorge myself silly on sugar.
I didn't drink enough water today again so I plan to be up again tomorrow or at the very least not lose any. Water seems to be a big part of losing the weight.
Oh and taking 2 pills a day is hard for me to remember. Morning I am fine but yesterday I didn't remember to bring one with me when we went to my in laws and today I just plain forgot until just a few minutes ago.
I got an email from the Scale Down program that you get in addition to the Contrave prescription and it said my scale had shipped. After tracking the UPS number I see it should arrive on Tuesday (this is Saturday) I'm excited to weigh in for the first time and see what goals they set for me and what my daily texts will say.
